The Bible is our all-sufficient Word of God for our faith and practice. This Statement of Faith is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we speak the same thing — 1 Corinthians 1:10; Acts 2:42). The phraseology employed in this statement is not inspired, but the truth set forth is considered to be essential for our full-gospel ministry. Though this statement doesn’t include all biblical truth, it covers the fundamental doctrines from God’s Word to meet our need for the Biblical Faith.
We believe the Bible, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16–17). The Holy Spirit perfectly guided the human authors to ensure they wrote precisely what He intended, without error or omission (2 Peter 1:21).
We believe in one God, Creator of all (Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 1:16), revealed in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14). God is eternal (Psalm 90:2), omniscient (Psalm 139:1–6), omnipresent (Psalm 139:7–13), sovereign, holy, just, righteous, loving, merciful, and gracious.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, died for our sins (Isaiah 53:5–6), rose from the dead (1 Peter 1:3), ascended to heaven, and now intercedes for us as our High Priest (Romans 8:34).
We believe in the deity and person of the Holy Spirit, who regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers (Titus 3:5; Romans 8:9). He distributes spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:11) and empowers believers for life and ministry (Acts 1:8).
We believe angels are created spiritual beings (Psalm 148:2), and that Satan is a fallen angel (Isaiah 14:12–17). He and his demons oppose God and will be judged eternally (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
We believe humanity was created in God’s image (Genesis 1:26–27) but fell through sin and is now spiritually dead (Romans 3:23). All humans need salvation and are unable to save themselves (Ephesians 2:1–5).
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9). Jesus died in our place and bore our sins (Romans 5:8). All who believe are justified, eternally secure, and transformed (John 10:27–30).
The Church is the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12–14). We observe two ordinances: water baptism by immersion (Matthew 28:19) and the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23–26). The Church is commissioned to preach the Gospel and make disciples.
Every believer is a priest with direct access to God through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:5; Hebrews 4:14–15). Each has the right and responsibility to study God's Word, guided by the Holy Spirit (John 16:13).
We believe God calls and ordains leaders for the purpose of fellowship (Acts 2:42), outreach (Mark 16:15), and growth (Ephesians 4:11–16) of the Body of Christ.
We believe in the imminent return of Christ (Titus 2:13), the resurrection of the saints, the millennial reign of Christ (Revelation 20:1–6), and final judgment. Believers will dwell eternally with God, and unbelievers will face eternal separation (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11–15).
